Eva McCarthy, DO

I grew up on a small hobby farm outside of Corvallis after my family moved to Oregon in 1990. I’ve lived in Oregon for most of my life besides my time in medical school in Iowa.

I have always been passionate about primary care and have spent the past 10 years practicing full-spectrum family medicine in both rural and academic settings. I enjoy caring for patients across all ages, life stages, and medical needs, and I value the opportunity to build long-term relationships with the individuals and families I serve.

My clinical interests include preventive care, pediatrics, gender-affirming care, healthcare advocacy, and chronic disease management. Building trust with a patient over a span of years is foundational to family medicine. Getting to know each other beyond a single visit helps me to doctor in a way that's more thoughtful and personal as we navigate the healthcare system together.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring Oregon's rivers by canoe and raft, hiking, cooking, and spending time with my family. I am excited to be part of Happy Doc Family Medicine and look forward to providing personalized, intentional primary care to our community.
